HEAVY TRUCK DRIVER JOB
We are seeking a committed, highly motivated individuals to join our heavy haulage team.

About Us:
Jays Transport specialize in bulk cartage, heavy haulage, earthmoving, landfill and aggregate transportation. We ensure all our staff are qualified, work cohesively, productively, understand each site's requirements and have all the required PPE on board. We're small family owned business.
Pre-requisite, Minimum Qualification, Work Experience and Skills
*Full Class 5 Drivers License required.
*Be comfortable and confident with road ranger 18 speed transmission.
*Clean driving record.
*Drug Free (Should be able to pass a drug and alcohol test).
*Minimum of 2 years Class 5 Truck and trailer driving experience (especially reversing experience of a 4 Axle Trailer).
*Dangerous Goods License is an advantageous.
*Physically Fit
*Clean record, good communication skills, presentable and a team player.
*Have excellent, efficient and safe driving skills.
*A proven history of being highly efficient and reliable with references from previous employers.
*Should be good in speaking English language and writing.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
*An appreciation of what great customer service is all about.
*Focus on safety at all times.
*Sound understanding of logbook regulations and requirements. (Training will be provided if required)
*Ability to stay calm when under pressure.
*Report Defects, accidents and violations.
*Maintain a complete record of documents, including log-book, fuel cards, quarry dockets, company docket books, etc
*Sound understanding of Health and Safety.
*Willing to work whether day or night shift.
*Carefully manoeuver vehicles into position for loading and tipping.
*Ensure the load is properly secured.
*Will require to manually open and lock the tailgate manual lock for the safety of the load.
*Will sometimes be required to manually shovel small portions of stuck clay in the tipping bin.
*Where required should wash the tipping bin before loading clean metals.
The Company Will Provide
*Training will be provided if there is no experience in tipping truck and trailer jobs.
*Minimum Starting rate of $29.66
*30 Hours guaranteed per week.
*The remuneration will be dependent onto the performance, punctuality and other factors.
